Friday Saturday Sunday

Had a great birthday celebration with friends there last night. An old (yes, I know it is considered by some as outdated for innovative food trends) favorite, we were treated well, never rushed, had our table to ourselves for three hours, as everyone knows with its wine pricing policy it is almost a BYOB with a $10 corkage fee.

The wild mushroom raviol in a brown sage butter sauce was as good as it gets.

Upstairs room was energetic but enjoyable. I am glad it is still around.

I've been going to FSS since 1991 and I still love it! I love sitting up at the Tank bar after work on Friday night, ordering a bowl of Cream of Mushroom Soup (especially in the winter) and the Five Leaf Salad w/Goat Cheese. It's a great way to start the weekend. I also enjoy their Salmon and any of their Beurre Blanc sauces. Their staff is awesome! There never will be another Knave of Hearts, Astral Plane, or Judy's. FSS is the last of it's kind and must never die!

This is still a favorite of mine as well. I know it's not fashionable anymore, and the interior is outdated, but the food is always good. Maybe not cutting edge, but solid and well prepared. I'm all about the food, and not the scene, so this works for me.

my wife and I went there last night too. We were the first there at 5:30. That place is so dependable and the the service is always very plesent. wine prices are so fair, you don't need byo's with prices / selection that they have.
