Cajun Deep-Fried Turkey at KFC?

Has anyone tried it? I saw a sign for it at my local KFC/Taco Bell as a Thanksgiving special. It's $49.99 for a 10 - 12 lb. turkey, and it has to be pre-ordered. I've never had deep-fried turkey, but I've always wondered what it would be like. Thanks!

How far in advance do you have to order? I wonder if they'll do it for x-mas. Funny my daughter's peditian told us about it. She said it was the best turkey they've ever had as well.

talk about a little technical innovation. i suppose if you already have the grease, dropping big bird in the fryer makes sense...

now if chic fil a were to offer a turkey fried in peanut oil, they'd totally have my business. hmm...i wonder how the waffle fries would do as a mashed potato stand in?

While I have never had one from KFC, a fried turkey, if done properly, is one of the best things to eat. And the carcass makes a very tasty stock for gumbo.
