Light Saturday lunch?

Hi all,

I'm going to be in New Orleans for the AHA conference, and am flying my dad down next weekend as an uncharacteristically extravagant surprise for his birthday. I booked us for dinner at Cuvee Sat. night and lunch at Galatoires the next day. Do you have any recommendations for a light bite to eat for lunch on Saturday-- something to tide us over till dinner? We will have a car that day (and only that day) so it is ok if it involves a drive. (We're staying in Faubourg). I thought of getting appetizers at Commander's Palace but they are booked up.
Thanks!

I'd have to say that's an excellent suggestion!

I think I'll do that myself!

And if it's warm enough, the patio would be lovely at lunch time.
      BTW, when is this conf?

    2. The "Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich" @ Bayona is absolutely divine. Smoked duck, cashew and p-nut butters, and pepper jelly on grilled bread. A must try if you've never had it. (Totally not typical NO food, but SCRUMMY!!! Adam
