Hello all,

I was considering doing some home canning for Christmas gifts this year and I am wondering where in Manhattan to find the appropriate Mason Jars. Anyone have ideas?

Many thanks!

I've seen mason jars at Bowery Kitchen in Chelsea Market. You may want to call first to be sure they have the size(s) you need.

They have them at several hardware stores near me, including S. Feldman, though they tend to be expensive. My favorite jars are Weck's - you might check their website or call to see if you can find them in the city.

Zabar's usually has a good supply in varying sizes and Gracious Home often carries them as well, but only in season. As LNG212 suggests, let your fingers do the walking.
