Some Crumb (Bakery in Claremont)

chris o Nov 19, 2003 03:18 PM

Someone in my office lives in Claremont, and they keep bringing in cookies from this place. These are some of the best cookies I've ever had. In particular, there's these golden oatmeal-raisin cookies (made with golden raisins) that, I swear to god, taste like the sun. They're just so bright and flavorful in your mouth. Right now I'm eating a white chocolate/macadamia cookie, and I've never before been so able to distinguish the tatstes of white chocolate, macadamia, and cookie. Address is 119 Yale Ave. in Claremont.

I worked in Claremont years ago and loved that bakery. I particularly remember their savory croissants, which were delicious.

Yeah, Some Crust is great. Lived in San Dimas for several years and stopping by Some Crust, then Nick's Coffehouse was always a nice way to end a day of CD shopping at Rhino!

Everything there is especially good! I always got the almond, raisin and chocolate crossiants. Baked Brie was fantastic.

Some Crust is a fantastic find in little Claremont! The BEST oatmeal cookies (my coworkers love the chocolate chip) but I've recently discovered their chocolate cupcakes are fantastic! They are covered with an amazing dark choclate ganache and beautifully decorated. Tried too many disappointing cupcakes lately, all frosted with some cheap sugary mess... these are just so wonderful!
