I'm in the doghouse with my husband and need to find a place downtown that makes really, really good chocolate chip cookies - would like to bring a dozen or so home tonight. Any suggestions??

Flour Bakery, by the Children's Museum, makes awesome chocolate chip cookies with Scharffen Berger chocolate.

Rosie's Bakery, which has a location inside of South Station, has excellent chocolate chip cookies.

Perhaps not as fabulous as the other two, but Chipyard in Faneuil Hall has good choc chip cookies.

Chipyard are also what I think of. I think of eating those by the dozen, whereas I think Flour although very tasty, I think of having one with a tall glass of milk.

Another vote for the Chipyard. Little mouthfuls of goodness.
