old-fashioned candy?

Anyone know where to find classic candy - ie, swirlies and twister lollipops?

Ideally, closer to the Silver Lake side of town....

Your post reminds me that it is time to order Christmas candy -- those big ribbons and cans of all those special Christmas flavors. Also, the lollipops from Hammonds are true old tme candy..

You ask for "classic candy," well..., Hammond's makes all those old time classic hard canddies, including Horehound, I really do not understand that flavor but it is one of the classics -- I guess.

Hammonds -- check out the ribbons

Not sure if they have what you're looking for, but they have some at classic candy at Le Pink and Zanzabelle, both in Silverlake.

Great idea. I'll give them both a try. Thanks!

Powell's, on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore has a huge selection of all kinds of candies, old and new.
Online, try Economy Candy in New York. They have everything and will ship.

I don't know about twister lollipops, but Galco's has a pretty good selection of old time candies. Plus, picking out some interesting bottles of soda is always fun.
