Santa Ynez Valley - GRAPPOLO

Never had a bad meal at Grappolo over the many years of its existence and last night was a reminder how lucky we are to have this place in the central coast for Northern Italian - just a great place to visit in the little town of Santa Ynez.

Enjoyed a wonderfully flavored zuppa de pesce appetizer and zucca ravioli finished with a affogato and some wonderful port. Partner had a ceaser salad, penne pasta with sausage, panna cotto and again that prime finishing touch of that beautiful glass of port. Homey and casual but with a very nice touch of continental class, chef makes a point of visiting his guests so this is a true foodie restaurant.

Enjoyed a memorable meal at Grappolo following the 2008 Solvang Century. Will be dining there again after the 2009 ride, and already looking forward to it.
