nice restaurant in bucks county for big 70th

Hello,

we would like to take my dad to a nice restaurant for his 70th. We need a place that is family friendly for young children who are fairly well behaved. We don't want a chain but nothing too small either. Someplace good for a nice dinner or maybe brunch, staying in the 20-30 pp range. Anything near Doylestown, New Hope, etc... would be great.

The Waterwheel in Doylestown has a great brunch and has an amazing atmosphere for a birthday.It is an old historic inn up off of rt 313. thewaterwheelrestaurant.com

The Waterwheel is a lovely setting, and I remember loving their crab cakes and everyone raved about the brunch. But, having taken young kids to both, I would say that it is not as small child friendly. I remember it as a more "quiet, serious" environment.

I haven't lived in the area for a couple of years, but we always enjoyed Porterhouse in Lahaska. They have a nice second floor dining area that would be lovely for a small event. Our children were 3 and 5 when we moved, and we always took them along without any problems.
