I was planning an afternoon tea with my mother, sister and niece this saturday at Upstairs on the Square, but they're closed for a wedding! Any other suggestions for a girly, elegant afternoon tea in or around Cambridge?

Ouch! That's too bad. I can't think of any other afternoon teas in Cambridge - all of the other ones I know of are in Boston. Any chance you can make the trip across the river? If so, there are lots of older threads about the various Boston teas, and TeaTomE has a great blog reviewing pretty much all of them.
