I have a wooden one that I have liked; but at this point, we seem to be slicing into the wood as often as we are slicing bagels. Short of one of those buzz-saws they have at Finagle-A-Bagel stores in the Boston area, a serrated knife and the correct technique is your best bet. However, I'm guessing you're looking for a method that is safe for all ages? The Bagel Biter might be a good choice in that case!
