Deep Fried Turkey

Does anyone know where in L.A. I can find a restaurant that serves deep fried turkey?

I remember reading a feature article in the L.A. Times Food section about a year ago about a soul food restaurant in L.A. where you can buy deep fried turkey or you can bring your own in and have them deep fry it for you.

I tried looking up the L.A. Times archives, but no luck.

Someone please help me find it! =)

Bring your own turkey, defrosted. I imagine it would be pretty great but wouldn't you want to eat it right away? I am not sure if all of the advantages of deep frying would be lost when you reheat it in the oven or just serve it at room temp. hours later. Has anyone brought their bird to them?

I have done it twice and it was great each time, you do not get the super crunchy skin like right out of fryer, but you do not get the mess either.

I don't know if this is regular menu item but I know Angelena's Soul Food Kitchen in North Hollywood makes deep fried turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas for people to pre-order and take home.
