Park Avenue Autumn/ Winter?
I am considering this restaurant for my 1 yr anniversary at my job. The spot looks great, the chef is from quality meats and the menu looks great. I know many here who say it is a great restaurant. The thing that I like about it is that it seems to be a top notch restaurant that actually serves you a decent sized portion unless many of the other "upper echelon" establishments in the city.
What are everyones thoughts? Are there better restaurants out there for the price tag. Price is not a restriction.
We've eaten at Park Avenue's previous Winter, as well as Spring. With regard to the food, I liked Winter better than Spring. Service was fine at Winter but fell down substantially at Spring. We might go back sometime but, frankly, I would not consider it either "great" or "top-notch," and I wouldn't choose it for a celebratory meal. If there are no budgetary constraints, there are far superior restaurants in Manhattan.
