State College Restaurant Review
Gamble Mill- Eager to please staff. Appetizer salads were fine. Entrees both arrived lukewarm
in temperature. As we'd already waited a long time for them, we tucked in as
didn't want to wait even longer for them to try again.
Allen Street Restaurant- Large and varied menu. Appetizers of mang/shrimp spring rolls and
salmon tempura sushi were fine. The Jackstackhouse salad was good, though
calorically dense ( salad, cheese, veggies, french fries, steak cubes and blue
cheese dressing.) Husband had the seared tuna salad which was boring.
Subway- yes we are reviewing a Subway. The sandwiches were standard, but the staff was
stelllar. Thirty people ordered 30 different sandwiches for delivery. The staff labeled
each sandwich with the order's name. I know this doesn't seem much, but it made all
distributing much easier. Kudos to Penn State Subway on East College.
