Changes to My Posts in MyChow

Is it true? Is My Posts now pulling up old, old threads long scrolled off the first page to the fore when there's a new posting?

Thank you!

I only recently realized that MyChow DIDN'T work that way. It sure seems like any new posting to a topic should bring it to the top of MyChow list, just like it does in the Boards. It's very confusing to have MyChow operating differently. It makes so much sense to have active (or reactivated) posts show up at the top of the list, in both the boards and MyChow.

    Hope they can fix it!

For the longest time, it paginated by the date the thread started. Awhile back, they changed it to paginate by the date that you first replied in the thread, so if you went back and posted to an older thread, it would appear on your first page until you'd made enough new replies to drop it off the list. Based on poking at it this morning, it appears they've now changed it to paginate based on the date of your last reply, so if you followup on an older thread you were participating on, it gets another kick at the front page. It doesn't look like it's yet made it all the way to the desired behaviour, which would be for it to paginate based on the date of anyone's last reply.

I just tried this with another 2006 site talk post that Melanie made and my new reply got stuck at the top of Melanies's old "my chow" posts list in 2006. So, right you are Jacquilynne. Not resolved yet.

Thanks for the test. I see what you're saying. It is still a big step, though knowing when another poster has replied to me is more important than tracking my own new posts to older threads.

You can do a search for your name on the Chowhound board, that's how I find out if someone has replied to something I posted a year ago. That's how I found out that you had replied to my Oklahoma post. But that Oklahoma post didn't appear on "My Chow" until after I had written a new reply, which I just now did.

              Hi Brian,

I am new to the site. Is there a way I can email you direct off post?

              Thanks!

jacquilynne: this would be great: "paginate based on the date of anyone's last reply.'
