Looking for a special place for lunch this Saturday - downtown Houston

Hi, we will be at the Crowne Plaza downtown - and carless - for a conference this weekend and have only one free meal slot, lunch on Saturday. Is there anywhere within striking distance that is particularly good? Like just about all cuisines, would be especially interested in something distinctively Houston, not readily available at home (NYC). Thanks in advance for any guidance you can lend.

Although not fond of their new menu, I would go to Ninfa's on Navigation. Great local ambiance, see where Tex Mex fajitas began. It is defiinitely disinctive local Houston at its best.

Thanks very much. Nothing much shaking in this line in NY, perfect.
