Best Community College Culinary Program...
...on the West Coast. I'm looking for something inexpensive but thorough. Any ideas?
I moved from the area a few years ago but had taken classes at the community college in Oakland. I think it was Merritt College. I took recreational classes but they had an intense program that met everyday. I met quite a few people who were doing that and then transferring their credits to culinary programs. I'm not sure if it's changed in the past 5+ years.
San Francisco City College has a good program as Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill (east bay).
The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF). They accredit/certify Culinary programs nationally for schools. A similar query was asked earlier at the beginning of this year for a New York and New Jersey area school. Read the thread and you may receive some insightful knowledge to make your career decisions.
