Unfortunately, I can no longer find my Gourmet 65th anniversary issue, and am having a 1960s themed party soon. I have a few menu items set, but would love to have inspiration from Gourmet. If anyone can dig up their issue, could you at least just tell me what menu items were in the 1960s section? Thanks!

Thanks, but I was looking for the part of the issue where they do a cocktail party or dinner party from each decade. I hope I'm right that it was Gourmet, and I haven't taken up all of your time with my bad memory!

I'm wondering if you are thinking of the 60th Anniversary issue? For the 1960s, it lists:

Cheese Fondue
Poulet aux Quarante Gousse d'Ail
Sangria
Baked Clams Perce
Tomates Rellenos
French Toast Santa Fe

The 65th Anniversary one does not appear to be organized by decade - flipping through, though, I see a recipe for Duck Confit hash from 1963, Roasted Tomatoes ('69)

I haven't been subscribing that long, but it definitely helps. I'm trying to update old classics, and this gives me some good ideas.

Maybe I'm confusing it with Bon Appetit? Food and Wine? Maybe I subscribe to too many food magazines?
