Has Le Vieux Bistro closed?

I recently recommended Le Vieux Bistro to a friend. He recently returned from Paris and said he couldn't find it -- that there was a creperie at the former location. Does anyone know the scoop?

I realize we're supposed to be respectful and gracious here, but in brief, "who cares?" Sorry Bill. 150 meters away is Le Reminet, not much farther Cru (perfect cold dishes for a summer canicule day).

I think Bill has gotten over Le Vieux Bistro. The original post is almost 2 years old.

Thanks for the chuckle, John. Yes, life will go on quite nicely without Le Vieux Bistro. I had recommended it to a friend for whom it would have been a good choice, but in general I agree that it was no great shakes. And yes, Le Reminet is way better.

Thanks Bill, but my second, not chuckley idea, Cru is ideal for these days of a crippling canicule. Cool place, in both senses of the word.

Yes, it has definitely closed and been replaced. Don't know why.

The last meal we had there was so terrible that I'm not surprised. Also, the policy of herding Americans into the backroom while Europeans ate in the front room was obnoxious.
