Buying Gamebirds, Sweetbreads, etc.

Hi All,

Looking for a reasonable place in the Miami to Lauderdale area to purchase gamebirds (quail, duck, pheasant, etc.), sweetbreads, rabbit and the like.

I stress reasonable - I've been to epicure in Sunny Isles and the price point they feel is acceptable for these items is unreal.

I am a NYC transplant - used to purchase all my meats at Ottomanelli on Bleeker Street and am finding it quite difficult down here.

Any suggestions?

Check out Smitty's butcher shop 954-771-9341 1980 n.e. 45th st. fort lauderdale. (Just off federal north of oakland park blvd) They most likely will have what you are looking for and if not they can probably help. This is a real butcher shop like we are used to up north
