NYC to Iowa City - Thanksgiving '08 suggestions?

mar1lyn27 Nov 3, 2008 08:16 AM

I'm heading for Iowa CIty to visit my grad-student daughter for thanksgiving.
Since it's just the 2 of us, we would rather dine out someplace really nice with fabulous food.
The meal can be prix fixe, or a buffet, etc, so long as turkey isn't the only option (not a huge fan of that particular fowl).

She's received suggestions of the Iowa City Power Co. - apparently they have a buffet on thanksgiving. Another suggestion was Atlas.

Are these good venues for the holiday?
Does anyone here have additional ideas for us?

Thanks

Marilyn

I just called Atlas. They're not open on thanksgiving.

      Need suggestions.
      Anyone?

You're thinking of Iowa River Power Restaurant. They are back in business after the flood. Would be a good choice.
