Birthday restaurant - good design and cocktail friendly

In London this weekend and wanted to go to Sketch Gallery (can't afford the Lecture Room since we are in an economic downturn!!) but alas i waited too long to make the booking. Anyone have any good suggestions for an alternative???

Try Hakkasan. Great design. Great cocktails. Chinese, though.

my gf's in interior design and she really likes the wapping project (and it does look amazing, it's in an old power station) but the problem is that it's in wapping
