Best Pizza in Long Branch

This has been a never ending discussion that has practically split my family into factions....Some people swear by Nunzios, some love Tony's...my mother pines for the old days at Freddie's, I love the Margharita pizza at La Scala's in West End...I'd love to hear other people's opinions or maybe some other hidden gem...

Rockfeller's on prospect makes a GREAT slice of Sicilian, but the price is different EVERYTIME YOU GO.

Its worth the short drive for the best ! long branch is not the mecca for Pizza for sure. But I'll admit I love Joanne's in long branch for Super Italian sanwiches.

I have been going to Ocean View Subs for over 20 years and Joanne has been there the entire time. She remembers every name and every face. If you want real Italian Subs this is the only place to go....they could have filmed a episode of the Sopranos at her place...I love Joanne and her #3 Italian Sub

Oddly though, the side door of Ocean View Bakery is labeled Ocean View Pizza.

Just went after reading the above posts. The atmosphere of a coffee shop/deli of yesteryear with regulars who serve themselves and help Joanne. The #1 Italian sub was mouth-watering good. We'll be back to sample more of the menu, which didn't include pizza.

Funny, I went this week as well for the first time. Joanne looked up at me and said "you're first time here,eh" Good stuff, nice sandwich if sliced a little thick for my liking, but I'll definitely go back...want to try her soups.

Next time try the chicken parm or whatever hot SPECIAL she made that day.....Joanne is the best!

Glad you enjoyed it....brings you back for sure.
