looking for a rec for monday night dinner. looking for a contemporary American place downtown. normally, i'd pick steelhead diner but it (along with lots of others) are closed monday night.

probably the most contemporary American place downtown is Spur (open Mondays as well)...ask for a Blanchard Ave cocktail while you're there

thanks for the reco on Spur. Went there Tuesday night and it is one of the best meals I have had in a long long time.

If you want a different and special choice, and are willing to drive 10 minutes north, you could try A Taste of the Table in Wallingford. They offer Monday night specials dishes, then are closed until Thursday. Looks inviting! Then again, I too love the CC lamb burger!

thanks. forgot about palace kitchen heard good things and definitely want to go. Also, might try cafe campagne. i know its not american, but still the best burger i've had west of the mississippi.
