Silly defrosting question DUH

I have a frozen chicken pie that I want to use for dinner next Friday night. Problem is that I will be away from Sunday til Friday night so can only take it out of freezer to fridge this Sunday afternoon....will it be ok? This sounds really dumb I know ...but I am clueless Thanks ( oh and no microwave to nuke defrost)

Make sure you take the internal temperature of the pie in the very centre and if it is over 160F or 70C after cooking there shouldn't be a problem with food poisoning.

My experience with frozen pot pies is that they tend to get soggy when defrosted before baking. I'd put it on a cookie sheet and pop it into the oven, still frozen, to avoid that soggy crust.

Depending on how many it is to serve. Let's assume for 6-8 people, about 10 inches across. Will take 2 days to defrost in fridge, and again assuming your fridge nice and cool, should be fine. Keep it in the coldest part of fridge. If pie little 2-3 people, 6 inches across. Can probably defrost in an hour when you come home
