Willamette Valley Thanksgiving

Hello,
I am planning my first trip to Portland over Thanksgiving week and am hoping to get down to some wineries. I see that the Wilamette Valley has some special events from Friday-Sunday but does anybody know if any/most of the wineries are open the Wednesday before Thanksgiving?

Also, if you have any suggestions of which wineries to visit (I prefer Reds and don't know a whole lot about wine so something not too snooty would be appreciated), that would be great too.

It's open every day (not just for Thanksgiving) and since there are several winemakers there you get a variety with just one stop.

Our most recent favorite is Van Duzer, West of Salem. We were there Memorial Day-they had amazingly good (free!) food, spectacular views, were low key, and their pinot noir was fabulous.
