dive bars off ventura? help!

looking for a dive bar in the sherman oaks, tarzana area that serves tasty bar food and a good variety of draft beers. i have no idea what's out there 'cause i'm more familiar with the westside... any suggestions would be awesome.thanks...

It's in the strip mall across the street from In-n-Out.

The Little Rock on Reseda just north of Ventura has the dive bar part down. Can't vouch for the tasty food or beer selection.

Your options are somewhat limited in sherman oaks but the 2 that come to mind with food and good draft selection are Robin's Hood (Burbank just east of woodman) and Irelands 32 (Burbank just west of woodman). I've heard that Pineapple Hill Saloon (in the In N Out center at Van Nuys and Moorpark) has a tasty burger but I haven't been.

Can be crowded and noisy on a Friday night but I will vouch for the Kona Burger as being just great. Have only had their red swill but have also had a great martini there. Red swill goes better with a burger than a martini.
