I'm looking for suggestions of good food at Foxwoods. Nothing fancy (we'll be in Halloween Costumes), not outrageously expensive, just a good meal. Searched the boards and was surprised not to find much about it so thought I'd ask. Thanks!
My husband and I were at Foxwoods about a month ago, and had a very nice meal in the tavern of the Cedars restaurant. In the tavern you can order off the tavern menu, or the main dining room menu, and we actually got entrees off of each menu. The pork chop with caramelized apples and onions was yummy, and we also got a Thai steak salad with mango that was delicious. The price was quite reasonable--we each had a drink, we got two entrees and a side of creamed spinach and had an appetizer and the bill was under $70. I was frankly surprised to find good food at a decent price in the generally overpriced world of a casino!
I realize that these are chains, but if you want something casual and decent, try the Hard Rock Cafe and California Pizza Kitchens. Hard Rock would be jumpin on Haloween - Alice Cooper is playing at MGM that night!
David Burke's Burke In The Box is in the walkway between old an new hotels I was there when they just opened upscalish hot dogs, good dumplings, sliders all around solid
