Koji's Shabu Shabu is right across the way on the same level. The drinks suck @ the show, so make sure you drink up prior or get the overpriced, bottled stuff @ the show. Make sure you take a lot of $1 bills w/you; you'll have a blast!

Koji's is overpriced american Japanese food in a mall. I would rather go to Hooters than there.

If you want a fun Hollywood sushi experience, go to the Sushi Wagon (Hollywood & Ivar I think) which is this tiny little spot that is fairly decent priced and cooked practically in front of you. Scoobys is also great for a quick bite if you like hot dogs (better than Pinks) and the arnold palmers have fresh lemonade. On Hollywood and Cherokee

For sit down and a Hollywood landmark go to Musso and Franks.

Although Koji's might seem overpriced, it's one of the few small chains that I like. I've had shabu shabu in Japan and in Japanese homes and I found it pretty good. (Koji's is mainly for shabu shabu, not sushi.)

Yes, there are plenty of good restaurants in the neighbourhood, but the OP asked for something near H'wood Men. Having attended H'wood Men and knowing the parking, traffic & partying situation are the reasons why I recommended Koji's. There are other restaurants @ H'wood & Highland...but this one seems most conducive to a fun pre-show atmosphere (avoiding the likelihood of a possible DUI).

Practically across the street is the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. You can get tasty burgers and such at 25 Degrees. About four blocks east of Highland is also the new outpost of Loteria Grill (originally in the Farmer's Market).

7000 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028

      Loteria Grill Hollywood
