I'm afraid you're going to give us more than that. Any particular part of town? (Toronto presumably) And is it definitely a bistro she'd like? Or are there other options. Budget?

A Bistro indeed, budget not such a concern...downtown better than not....we have have been to france a number of times and my wife is from montreal so french is the desired meal.

Le Select might hit the right French spot, so to speak!

I used to love Le Select for their duck confit and the wonderful scallopped potatoes. I went there once after they moved, and was not impressed by it at all.

I did take a large group there once before they moved amd everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
