Christmas Oysters from Davis Farm Mkt Oyster guy

The (Wellfleet?) Oyster guy from Davis was talking up orders for the holidays. He takes orders of 50-400 oysters and delivers them before Christmas at an arranged time to the same Day St lot as the Farmers Market. He mentioned several days around 12/21 while thumbing through a tide chart which he said wasn't specific enough for the bay he works. Said there would be no issues storing them on ice in the fridge for that time. Pooling an order among friends/hounds encouraged. I don't have any email contacts, but he will be at the last Davis Market (Wednesday behind Redbones/Post Office) for two more weeks. Firm orders only and a working phone number requested. He also didn't specify a price, but Oysters are a $1 for good looking ones and $.75 for cosmetically challenged oysters. For those going to the market, he is shucking this year (I believe there is an upcharge, but not certain what).

From 50 oysters up, you can also order local shellfish from Cape Cod Shellfish too, probably similar price or maybe even a bit better. For the Oyster guy 400 sounded like the biggest order he would like to handle, but mentioned that every year he has one client which does order that many.
