Simon's Cafe, Sherman Oaks
We had dinner there last night and it was AMAZING as per usual. I ordered the lamb chops and chef told me that he was going to use a better cut of lamb ($2 more than what's listed, but worth it!). Talk about succulent! My BF had the lamb tagine which was equally as awesome! We had the mango pudding for dessert which was both delectable and refreshing.
I can't rave about this place enough. Chef pours his heart into every meal and it shows!

I've liked Simon's since relying many years ago on Elmer Dills for his recommendation. I had lunch there last week, and it was as good as ever.
Simon is one of the most gracious restauranteurs I've encountered. As you say, they pour their heart into each dish, and it shows.
