hot chocolate european style

i miss the hot chocolate you get in europe - thick with real taste of cocoa beans. is there a placeto find it in NY?

    Try the Chocolate Bar in Bendels. They grind the cocoa beans fresh.

      Besides La Maison du Chocolat, City Bakery and Jacques Torres.

        The only one at the top of my head is a decadent thick cup from La Maison du Chocolat. I'm seriously thinking of having my hands wrapped on it again.

          Ditto. Theirs *actually* comes from Europe. It's flown in from Paris, surprisingly. They simply reheat it.

          I would also try Michel Cluizel. There is also MarieBelle but I think the other options are better.

          I assume you are looking for hot chocolate made with water and NOT milk, since that is what I understand European style to be.
