need to find nips
Anyone know who sells those small bottles of liquor, aka nips?
I live in the Andersonville area.
Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the "airplane bottles" if so, around here, you MIGHT be better off just calling them "airplane bottles."

And if you are talking about the "airplane bottles", jewel4352, while I don't know anything specifically about the Chicago asrea, in the Northern NJ area, they are available at most liquor stores, usually near the checkout.

I thought they're usually called "miniatures", and as noted below, they are indeed found at most liquor stores near the checkout.

I wasn't really talking about their common name, but more about the negative connotation associated with that word. Not that anyone had the intention of using foul language here, BUT, if you go out scanning the city, and asking people where you can find "nips" you might get some odd looks, or maybe a few slaps or punches. It is also a derogatory term for people of an Asian nationality.

Depending on the neighborhood, 7/11 carries them. Binny's too. Pretty much any larger liquor store. The Binny's near me (Skokie) even has single-serve Coppola wine cups and alcohol "shots" in plastic paks (like shampoo samples).

Unless things have changed, the miniatures are not sold in the city of Chicago.

Really? I never knew that!
I know they have them at Binny's on Dempster in Skokie, which isn't far from Andersonville...
