Help! Need to figure out downtown/small plates lunch by noon!

Ok, so far we're considering a Momofuku or Fatty Crab. I mentioned Boqueria, but my out of town cousin nixxed it. He also didn't want to do Casa Mono again since he's been a couple times. We're looking for Union Square and south...

Thoughts? Help? Will be able to check this 'til noon today.

    Ok... just to change things around completely... thoughts between Spotted Pig, Shorty.32 and The New French for lunch??!

        Sorry, I should have been more specific. I think ideally we want NOT Spanish small plates. I think we're leaning toward Fatty Crab. I went once and it was pretty good. But have read so many negative reviews about it here that I hesitate to bring him there...

            I wouldn't describe Momofuku as small plates, though I suppose that's because I prefer the box lunch over their other offerings. If you want small plates, I would favor Fatty Crab and consider Pipa or La Nacional.

              Vintage Irving; Bar Jamon; Pipa...All small plates in the irving/US area.
