Anniversary Dinner

My Girlfriend and I have been dating for 2 years now and I want to take her someplace incredible and new for our anniversary. We've been to Babbo and Del Posto before so those are out.

A few guidelines:

1. Ideally, I am looking for a place with a Tasting menu around $100 a person with a nice decor.
2. We are not large Steak people. An ideal place would be Italian or a nice fish restaurant.
3. She does not like sushi so that is out as well.

I made reservations at Union Square Cafe but I'd ideally like to cancel those and pick up one of your recommendations.

Thank you so much for you time and help. I really appreciate it.

agreed on bouley. such an enchanting, romantic, and delicious anniversary experience. union square doesnt begin to compare in either food or romanticism.

      How about Scarpetta?

Definitely get rid of those Union Square reservations. Try Blue Hill, Aureole, Telepan or Aquavit.

If you want to stick with Italian, Alto has a four course prix fixe for $79 (and a somewhat more expensive tasting menu that I've not tried). I finally went to Convivio this week - the prix fixe is $59, and overall it was a great meal (still working on my report) and I loved the look of the room.
