Columbia, SC on a Sunday night?

proclusian Oct 28, 2008 01:02 PM

So, the question is: it's Sunday night in Columbia, Hunter-Gatherer is closed, Mr. Friendly's is closed, Terra is closed, Camon is closed -- a lot of places I like to go are closed. Where do you go when you want to eat out on Sunday?--D.

Touch of India off of Broad River is open on Sun. nights. It definitely has the best Indian food you can get in town - by far. The reviews (http://columbia.citysearch.com/review...) are a little mixed, and I've never been on a Sunday night when the owner is in (although I have met the owner on a Sat. night), but apparently that's a good night to go there!

Thanks to all who recommended. We ended up at Motor and Tim Peters' wife Melissa was our waitress. She took good care of us. The food was superb--not that I have ever had a bad meal there. I had a nice N.Y. State 1/2 duck and my friend had some costal Wahoo in hoisin sauce that was amazing. We washed all that down with a Pinot Nero that was truly interesting. Tim was out at a fund-raiser but stopped by later and came over for a visit at our table. All in all, a wonderful evening.
