Anyone know where I can find calcium chloride and sodium alginate in the city? I'm having a dinner party on Sunday and would like to make Granny Apple/Cilantro caviar but I can't find a local source for the chemicals.

Any ideas? I'm almost to the point where I'm going to call Moto and ask them. I need it by this weekend - otherwise I would have ordered it online.

Thanks for your help in advance. Feel free to email me directly at janderslarson@gmail.com.

Is this place open to the public? Seems more like a commercial operation only open to restaurants. I don't need a 25lbs bag of the stuff - 1lb will do me for now....

When I do order this online I'll probably go through L'Epicerie. They seem cheaper. I could pay for overnight shipping but that would knock the cost up to $70. Considering I'm already putting together 24 courses for this dinner - I'm going to pass on the $70 chemicals and wait for another dinner party unless I can find a store where I could purchase them.
