Kosher wine tastings
We've all heard that new newer kosher wines want to be known as fine wines, like any other, that just 'happen to be kosher'.
So why don't we see more tastings other than in Kosher stores. Publix, ABC, etc, have tastings everytime you walk in, and you always buy some wine. You never see Kosher wines being promoted. Also, no advertising? It just seems if the owners of the kosher wine companies want to become more mainstream, and compete on a level playing field, they would put their money where their mouth is. Yet, you occasionally all you see is an orthodox Jew sitting in at Kosher world promoting a wine, when Publix is cleaning up with wine tastings every day of some wine that is not near the quality, but carts are getting full as a result of a few hours of someones time.
I only say this because I hear they want to break ouf of the kosher market and be known as a fine wine like any other, yet I see no effort being made in any non-Kosher markets.

Queen Anne Liquors in Teaneck does Kosher wine tasting weekly on Thursdays
( I have no idea what the status is of the glasses they use or if the same opener is used on all wines - caveat kosher emptor)
