Kamameshi in NYC? or NJ?

Where can I find Kamameshi in NYC? I had uni Kamemeshi two times in Asakusa and I remember it every day since...when was I there last...March.

On top of the places mentioned, Matsugen also serves kamameshi, one with kani and matsutake and one with, guess what, uni! I haven't tried them though.

My favorite is the one with matsutake at Aburiya Kinnosuke. They should have it now. Call to confirm.

I had the uni kamameshi at Matsugen a few months ago. It’s decent, but expensive and I don’t know, cooked uni seems like a waste.
Tsushima in Midtown has an inexpensive weekly kamameshi specials every Friday. Uni featured not too long ago. You could try calling them to see what the flavor of the week is and try it out.

You can try some Japanese salarymen hangouts in midtown like Ise on 56th Street or Naniwa on 46th. They both have kamameshi on the menu. I like the one at Ise better. But you're probably not going to find an uni version.
