upscale Italian lunch within a 10 minute walk of the MTCC?

Besides Tutti Matti, are there any good Italian restaurants serving lunch that are relatively short walk to the Convention Centre? Thanks for any suggestions.

  1. reading your subject line, my first thought was Tutti Matti....but Bravi might just fall within a ten minute walk, depending on how fast you walk...

    1. Might want to consider Toula , at the top of the Harbour Castle Westin. Quality, upscale cuisine in a unique setting. Maybe out of walking range...and price range.

      1. MTCC North or South? West end or east? The building is the size of two city blocks, so you might want to narrow it down a bit. If you're in the South building, you're a million miles from civilization.

        1. If you don't mind walking along Front St all the way to Yonge, you could have a nice Italian lunch at Acqua. It's inside BCE Place.

Ended up at Tutti Matti because it seemed the closest on a very windy day. I have to say I liked my chittarra pasta better than my previous dinner at Tutti Matti. Impressed they had a $15 prix fixe with several options as well as a $12 panini combo with either soup or salad. Only thing was that it's really quite loud, so conversation was a little difficult. But the food was great.

If I do go to Acqua, Toula or Bravi in the future, which dishes would you recommend? I was under the impression that Toula had gone downhill since its strong opening several years ago, but I'd be willing to give it a try if I was in the area.
