Kauai: Grass-fed Beef?

ponocat Oct 27, 2008 06:23 PM

Has anyone got a good source for grass-fed beef on Kaua'i? I'd like to buy direct from a rancher if possible.

I don't know about Kaua'i but here on Oahu you can buy directly from North Shore Cattle Company at the KCC farmer's market. I know of Big Island grass fed beef as well but can't
think of any on that island unfortunately.

Princeville Ranch sells their meats at the Princeville shopping center's Chevron gas station's convenience store. You'll also find it in some local stores as "Princeville Pride." How much more local and grass fed can it get?

I think some of the Ranch's cattle are finished on the mainland with the meat being sold at Whole Foods there.
