  1. It's not in Manhattan, but Almondine bakery in DUMBO has delicious pretzel rolls.

    1. City Bakery has tasty pretzel croissants.

      1. Glendale's Bakery on 87th and Lexington has very good pretzel rolls and bread, served with or without salt. It's a cookie-cutter old school bakery. Can't say much for its baked goods, but the pretzel rolls are stellar. They sell out by the evening though, esp those sans salt

I second Glendale's. I haven't had trouble getting them (though there are few left it seems) at 6 or so when I get off the train, but maybe I've just had dumb luck the few times I've stopped in. Wish I could say the same for the brownies at Glasser's down the street--those are hard to get in the evening. The good UES/Yorkville bakeries are a competitive sport after 5.

        2. Per Se serves them, so perhaps they can be bought at Bouchon Bakery?

          1. Silver Moon on the UWS, just south of Columbia University, sells pretzel rolls but don't wait until late afternoon to get yours b/c they'll likely be sold out. They are really good and so is the rest of their stuff

            1. I believe Karl Ehmer on the UES sells them.

              1. think city bakery on 18th street

                1. In addition to City Bakery, you can try the ones at Oro Bar and Bakery on Broome street in Soho.
