Al Reads - Update

Let S.O. make the decision and we went -

The server told me Al Read built as a hot dog and soda stand 80 years ago to serve those traveling into the canyon area. Original building, original liquor license!!! (80 years)

It's a stop at the 70's with 50's music. But, if in the area, go!

Don't drink but, food was just fine. Nothing extraordinary but, delicious none the less.
He had pork chops, veges and a huge baked potato. I had a chef salad. Told them I love the avocado and, they sliced a whole one on top. Very fresh, ample servings, good home flavors.

We went early, 5P and were the only ones in the back. The wait staff were gracious and accommodating. I have NO complaints and will go again. It's a great 1/2 way mark for the two of us.

Good on you, yes simple to the point of zen - like - ness, really pleased to hear about the 80 years old part, gotta drag a friend there soon for a re-visit. Maybe a visit to the biker bar across the street before hand just to get in the mood (don't tell anyone).

So Sorry - Sunland Blvd N, Sunland
I wouldn't make a special trip but, if in the area, go. I met someone there who lives in Pasadena and I came from work in Sylmar

          Tujunga, CA 91042

          Is this information wrong?
