East Buffet Closed!?

drove past the best asain buffet on long island (huntington) sat night. looks like it closed down, any info?

They had labor problems. The word was that they were retaining the tips and not properly sharing them with the waiters. There was a picket line with strikers, and other people working as strikebreakers. The food and service deteriorated seriously and there was less customers. I liked them up until my last visit there. I feel bad that they are gone.

There was a fire awhile ago (months?) In the kitchen, I think It's suppose to reopen, no word on when. Sorry I don't have any more info, Newsday has mentioned it several times

thanks, i was very curious because it always was so crowded
