Licorice laces?

My daughter wants to make a Halloween cookie recipe that involves making spider legs out of cut up licorice laces. Where can I go in Manhattan that will definitely have licorice laces? Dylan's Candy Bar would have them but it's sure to be a madhouse this close to Halloween and I'd rather not trek up there. Any ideas?
