MSP: A Place for Thanksgiving
Any ideas for a great Thanksgiving meal for two couples? About $100 to $150 per couple. Within 30 minutes of downtown St. Paul. Plated meal or buffet ok. Thanks!

I think you will get alot more responses if you reference MSP in the title. I am also looking for a good place to celebrate our first Thanksgiving in MSP and look forward to the responses. I did a check on Open Table but am not sure about the Thanksgiving options those places offer.

Note the following advice is given without any actual experience... I'm usually the one cooking on Thanksgiving.
None of the choices shown on Open Table really screamed great Thanksgiving meal to me. If I had to choose one for a reliable Thanksgiving dinner, I'd probably go with the Lexington in St. Paul.
Thinking about the type of restaurant that would probably put out a great spread, I thought about Jax in NE Minneapolis and perhaps the Monte Carlo in the Warehouse District. Jax has its Thanksgiving menu online and it looks pretty impressive (look in the Special Event Dining section) - the usual turkey, along with some other alternative choices including pheasant.
I have no clue about whether the Monte Carlo has a Thanksgiving dinner.

Since moving here, our holiday tradition includes Thanksgiving dinner at Kincaid's. They make a mean turkey dinner, plus they have a few things on their menu. It's limited - no buffet - but there's something for everyone, I think .

Cosmos in Minneapolis is offering a tasty looking Thanksgiving menu.

Lake Elmo Inn does a great job, we have gone there the last 3 years. It may be too late for a reservation now but give it a try.

Cosmos does have a great thanksgiving menu. but the seating isn't great for a lengthy meal.

Er..., meaning? Are you talking about the bucket chairs or the atmosphere or the times? I am considering a place for Thanksgiving also, so am curious.
