Arclight and Hungry Cat

Yesterday I went out the Arclight in Hollywood, and read about Hungry Cat so I gave it a try. First, if you don't know it's down at the end of the little alleyway after Borders, you might miss it. Second, you're not that bad off if you do miss it and decide on something else. The pug burger isn't worth the $15 they charge you, nor was anything we had. The burger is about half the size of a burger you'd get anywhere else. It's made from fresh ingredients, but is too tall and falls apart too easily. I had to rebuild it about four times before I could get a bite. On top of that, the fries were luke warm (humorously, the waiter asked if we were still munching on the fries or should he take the "beautiful" plate of fries away). Admittedly we didn't get anything from the raw bar, but that doesn't excuse the rest of our meal feeling like it wasn't worth the walk. If you're going to be eating in the area I suggest you look at other places. I read about Lucky Devils, which isn't far, and if you don't mind re-parking or a ten minute walk, then I suggest Blue Palm Lounge, which is much more reasonably priced and has better food.

P.S. I can't seem to get the link to Hungry Cat working. Can someone direct me as to how to do it manually?

  1. I'm kind of with you on that. I remember the burger being really difficult to eat, and not THAT amazing. The drinks were great, as was the cheese plate. I would go back for some cheese and a cocktail at the bar.
