We'll be having a crowd of people (like 50) for a family gathering on Sunday. I'm looking for a place other than Fairway that does large platters, 6 ft hero sandwiches, that sort of thing. Any recommendations?

6 foot hero, prosciutto balls, and arancini (rice balls): Joe's Perette on Smith St. (at 2nd St.). Also great sandwich at De Fonte's in Red Hook (but they are closed on Sunday and only a half day on Saturday, so your sandwich will be a day old).
