Foster's Grille?

What do you all in here think about Foster's Grille? I love their burgers...spot on. I like them better than Five Guys, Fuddruckers, and some other places that alot people mention in the press. I think they are really good. What do you all think?

    Any relation to Foster's Freeze?

I do think they generally do better at fries than 5 guys. As much as 5 Guys, though, my experience has been different per location. The Herndon location is great. The Vienna one is meh (I know it was one of the first if not the first).

I posted on Catfish Lewies a couple of weeks ago. They should turn out to be good, but they need to get their act together on pulling the orders correctly. I do, however, wish one would open in Herndon/Reston or Fairfax (a bit closer...)

It's a nondescript restaurant in a strip mall in Vienna. Is there any reason to eat there?

There are now quite a few (and for a few years there's been more than one). It's a family friendly place that serves standard American fare. The Vienna location is an institution in that community.

What the OP is getting at is that 5 Guys gets much mention, but Foster's not as much (though it is mentioned a decent extent).

There are lots of restaurants that don't get lots of mention. I can't see comparing Foster's with 5 Guys - about the only thing that they both do is serve hamburgers. Both are good burgers but for different reasons. I don't see anyone comparing Foster's to Ray's or Z-Burger.

Community/location is an important parameter here. It's worth going out of your way, at least once, to get a Ray's burger, but after the first time time, I haven't gone out of my way to eat at Foster's. It's not bad at all, it's just that there's nothing particularly special about the whole experience that's worth the trip. I might feel different if I was bringing a couple of kids who were old enough to enjoy a decent burger in a non-imposing restaurant that's clearly different than McDonald's..
